In South America, along the Andes Mountains, a series of volcanic eruptions accompanied the Fall of the Shroud. Many believe these eruptions are responsible for raising the Underworld of the Incan Empire to Earth. The Volcano God, Viracocha heralded the arrival of Supay, the God of Death. With him, Supay brought the spirits of the dead from his domain in the Underworld, the Ukhu Pacha. Once freed from their underworld realm, they reclaimed and reanimated their mummified remains.
