Kingdom Summary
Jukurrpa is a tribal kingdom of Australia and neighboring islands that exists within the terrestrial manifestation of the aboriginal Dreamtime. Untamable wilds, and unique flora and fauna that defy description, have overrun the islands, which exist in a wild and chaotic balance between the creation of the Wild and the destruction of the Wyrm.

Politics & NPCs
Jukurrpa is led by a council of tribal elders, who meet at the sacred Uluru to discuss matters of importance to the collective tribes, rather than bowing to a single ruler. Though the elders are all presumably equal in status, they all tend to defer to Eingana, the Dreamtime Snake, who is said to have birthed the world.

Yesterday and today and tomorrow are not an arrow that shoots from past to present to future; rather all tenses, and sleeping and waking, mix and cohabit beyond clocks and calendars. The world began long ago when the Ancestors sang in Dreamtime the cosmic rhythms that give shape to the things we see, and it is the beginning right now, when a living Tiwi sings the Dream songs that continue, or are, the world. In the dreamtime, I have seen a great wave. It wasn't a tidal wave, but a spiritual wave. I believe that the Dreamtime is going to be that, the revival is going to start in Jukurrpa. You see, that's really what's going to happen to the earth. We're going to have tidal waves of darkness, the earth will shake itself apart. That's coming because we don't consider this land as our Mother. We've taken away the balance, and we're not putting it back.
Aether - We are all visitors to this time, this place. We are just passing through. Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love... and then we return home. Those who lose dreamtime are lost, cannot return home. The darkness hunts at the edge of the dreamtime, to conceal the silver path and make us lost.
Aztlan - Distance divides us, not only physically, but spiritually. They lack balance.
Dischordia - A kingdom of nightmares and dreams of conquest. They are not balanced, but they strive to correct their own failings. Despite their shortcomings, they are strong friends aware of their own dreaming. They have aided us time and again. They do so only to further the glory of their king, but we are grateful.
Jade Empire - Our friends of the Green Courts and the Beast Courts of the Hengeyokai are honorable and proud warriors. Though they cannot fully appreciate the Dreamtime, they are steadfast and loyal to their word. Were it not for their aid, we may not have survived. We owe them much.
Lazarus’ Empire - They hold little regard for those who do not hold to their beliefs. Though they claim to fight the darkness, their dreams of conquest and subjugation are not ones that we share.
Kingdom of the Iron Lotus - They embrace the death of this age. Do they, as the Jade claim, worship death for death’s sake? Or will they embrace the rebirth in kind?
Ukhu Amarumaya - The followers of Bat have returned to us as well as them, and Gaia’s messengers have reconnected us with our distant cousins. Our allies, like we, honor the old ways and the new.

Historical Information
Court of Empires
Early relations between the Court of Empires and Jukurrpa were uncertain. Their ambassador felt Dischordia lacked balance. They showed too much destruction and not enough creation. Yet the first Hierophant, Elyon, swayed their opinion when he planted a sacred Kudzu seed. The seed grew, even in the barren soil, and returned life to the Dischordian wastelands. Yet, as it grew out of control, many Dischordians became concerned. Jukurrpa agreed to control its growth, in exchange for control over the land it occupied.

The Aether seized a foothold in Jukurrpa. They conquered and corrupted of Papua New Guinea and New Zealand. The Jukurrpan ambassador sought aid from Dischordia in cleansing the blight. Dischordia’s eagerness to aid led to a close alliance between them. They succeeded in reclaiming the lost lands, but the Aether’s blighted touch yet remains.
Dischordia began making overtures towards Jukurrpa’s Elders to fully join with Dischordia. The Council considered their offer, and seemed as though they would accept. Before they could, Zachariah Baldric, Hierophant of Dischordia, delivered a dire prophetic warning. The Elders of Jukurrpa heeded his warning, and reconsidered. Instead, a few Jukurrpans engaged in an experiment to become dual-citizens, swearing Oaths of Fealty to Dischordians. Yet such Oaths proved binding, severing them from their former kingdom. Their lords, Imperial Shadow Lords, Selene and Ravi, sought to rectify this incident. They helped to strengthen the Caern in Papua New Guinea, and established it as a Sept to the totem Bat.
Court of (Criminal) Empires
Second City crime lords, O’Neil and Torrio, saw the Court of Empires as an opportunity. Where politics goes, crime follows. The Court of Empires offered them a means to expand their business into every kingdom. By inviting criminals from every kingdom to a gathering in the Second City, they sought to establish a criminal network that spanned the globe... with themselves, of course, at the center.

Unfortunately for them, a member of the Imperial Sanctum learned of their intentions. One of the Sanctum’s mysterious “Gray Men” infiltrated the gathering. Her orders to send a message to the criminal element. An explosion rocked the gathering, and shattered plans for a global criminal network. Torrio and O’Neil returned to the underground. Despite this setback, the two had contingencies in place to salvage the plan. They moved the network to Jukurrpa, outside of Dischordia and the Sanctum's reach.
The Sublime Cataclysm
As two powerful kingdoms waged their war, the other kingdoms watched and waited. No matter who would be victorious, their victory would alter the political landscape. Few could have suspected the true cost of the end of the war, or the impact it would have on their own kingdoms. In the war's final months, Lazarus' Legion marched on Dischordia and laid waste to their domains. In response, the Dischordian lords enacted a plan of unsurpassed devastation. None outside of Dischordia witnessed the ritual, but kingdoms the world over felt the impact.

The first sign of the Cataclysm was the haze on the horizon. Blood-red and fire-orange, it was visible even in kingdoms across oceans and hemispheres. Storms of fire raged across the European continent. Those who survived the strikes saw clouds of dust and fire, and felt the ground shake from the impact. The reverberation of the catastrophe could be felt all around the world. Tsunamis, floods, and hail storms devastated the Jade and Iron Lotus. Earthquakes rumbled and volcanoes erupted in Ukhu Amarumaya and Aztlan. Sinkholes opened in Jukurrpa swallowing stretches of land. Heat waves ravaged the Diamond Congo, withering the jungles. Great sandstorms blasted across the African deserts. The Antarctic Aether grew even colder as it’s blizzards raged. Across the globe, maelstroms tore their way through the kingdoms of the world.
Treaty of Maelstrom's Rebuke
The war ended one year, to the day, after the events which marked its beginning. Delegates from Dischordia and Lazarus met to solidify a treaty and bring the war to a close. Every kingdom sent diplomats to witness the signing, but each had ulterior motives. Each hoped to see their kingdom's goals reflected in the final document. The Treaty detailed terms of ceasefire, such as returning prisoners and withdrawing troops. Yet it also contained several initiatives which advanced specific agendas.

Shifters from every domain celebrated the Treaty. The kingdoms of Jukurrpa, Ukhu, and the Diamond each supported a single agenda. Through their efforts, shifters of all breeds were bound in the pursuit of balance. To achieve this, they would all resume the hunt against the taint of the Corruptor.
The Treaty established a stronghold - an International court for all Shifter kind. The Sept of the Mended Spirit, dedicated to Bat, on the Jukurrpan island of Papua New Guinea. There, shifters from all over the world would be welcome to gather and seek wisdom from others.
Most Shifters were relieved at having a purpose once again, but some had concerns. Some shared concerns about the Sept in Jukurrpa. The Wyrm, the very corruption they committed to fight, had once driven Bat to madness. The Treaty had accepted the Kingdom of Aether into Reality. They knew that the force of destruction they represented was part of the Balance they sought. But they too represented corruption and devastation of the Wyrm's influence.
