Laws of Dischordia

These the that guide Dischordian hands and fates based upon the Unseelie Escheat.

Change is Good: “The world is forever changing, evolving, and growing. Living is changing. In time everything will change. Everything we know, everything we love, everything we believe in will change.”

Only the worthy shall inherit the Earth: “None of us seems to be anxious to develop meekness in ourselves. Why should we have any great desire to grow in meekness? Looking around at the competitive world we live in, how can we survive with meek attitudes”?

Honor is a lie, but Etiquette is forever: “Live by the sword, do not die by it. People will tell tales about nobles they meet, see, talk to, and adore in court. They will forget the brave die on the field."

Passion before Duty: “Always put passion before duty. Put the ones whose passion is duty in nobility, then watch your Kingdom thrive.”

Glamour is free: Do not hoard it. Muse, ravage, and spread it.

War may be declared on any domain at any time, so long as they are not hosting court. It may be declared for any reason, but it must be declared at court in front of the Voice or the Whispers.

The Shards of Helios are not to be placed together under any circumstances. It is high treason to do so, or swear oaths to do so. Imperials must be informed of all shards found.

Treason is punishable by death and the Imperial Sanctum will carry out the sentence. Any party accused is guilty until proven innocent. Only Imperials have the right to call for execution. A trial is not always necessary, but does usually entertain the court.

Dischordia is Bound by the Treaty of Maelstrom's Rebuke. All domains, nobles, and citizens must abide by the terms of the Treaty. Imperial Sanctum will enforce any and all violations.

Court Etiquette

When attending Imperial Court, one needs to keep the expectations of court in mind.

Imperial Court is for your most presentable form - Creatures will keep to their most presentable form possible. Come dressed in your best and ready to impress. Walking around in hostile forms will get you kicked out of court for the evening, unless you are doing so due to a duel. "Even the ugliest beast can be groomed and trained."

Court is for courtly matters - Display of supernatural power in court is distasteful. Using supernatural powers at court is prohibited. However, if your power is innocuous and subtle, or stylish and entertaining, the slight may be overlooked. "Those who flaunt their power disappear when the truly powerful appear."

Title makes right - Superior title can enforce one’s will or dictate justice

Nobles are responsible for everything and one they bring to court - “You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today.”

Duels will entertain the court - Duels have a specific protocol, which must be followed. A duel must be issued, accepted, sanctioned, and performed before the court. Once done it can be to the result the challenging party desires, even death and the duel may be any style conceivable. "Sir! My character you have injured, and further you have insulted me in the presence of a court and large audience. I therefore call upon you as a Noble to give me satisfaction for the same."

War between nations cannot be declared without Imperial approval - Much like Duels, war must be sanctioned by the Imperials. Once accepted, it will be announced for all to watch and know.
